Each of our stores receives a daily delivery of products direct from the central bakery located in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. In addition to our stores, Simmons also supplies a significant number of wholesale customers. These include department stores, restaurants, pubs, zoos, coffee shops and many other catering outlets.

History
Simmons is a family run business that dates all the way back to 1838 when Great Aunt Eliza began making bread in Roe Green on the outskirts of Hatfield.
In 1935 Reg Simmons took over from his father and expanded the company, taking it through the war and eventually selling it to Allied Bakeries. After a short period he became impatient working for Allied Bakeries and bought back the Hatfield bakery along with four shops.
The bakery remains based in Hatfield and has gradually grown to supplying 30 shops and approximately 250 wholesale customers. The basic company principles remain; making good quality products using only the best ingredients.
